WHAT WE LOVE:

The Nomos Tangente 38 Ref. 164 is a clean and confident expression of minimalist watch design. With its slim profile, crisp typography, and in-house movement, it distills the essence of Glashütte watchmaking into a quietly sophisticated daily wearer.

This 38mm version of the Tangente brings a touch more wrist presence than the original 35mm model, while keeping the iconic DNA intact. The white silver-plated dial is unmistakably Nomos: crisp black typography, subtle blued hands, and a perfectly integrated small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. Its typography is drawn from the Bauhaus tradition — geometric, functional, and balanced.

The slim stainless steel case (just under 7mm thick) slides easily under any cuff, and the long, angled lugs create a modern silhouette while maintaining excellent comfort. It's a dress watch that doesn’t try too hard, and in doing so, ends up being effortlessly stylish.

WHAT'S INSIDE:

Powering the Tangente 38 is the Nomos Alpha, a beautifully hand-finished, manually wound in-house movement with 43 hours of power reserve. Made in Glashütte, it features the traditional three-quarter plate, Glashütte ribbing, and thermally blued screws.
