Efemia Bladder Support, the new device for female urinary incontinence.

Efemia is a self insertable, reusable, comfortable and effective 'non-surgical' medical device for women 18 years and older with Stress Urinary Incontinence.

Designed by medical experts in urogynaecology. Efemia was developed to temporarily reduce/or prevent stress induced urine leakage in women as an alternative to surgery and disposable single use products. It works by supporting the mid-urethra through the vaginal wall.

Made from 100% medical grade pure silicone; completely free of plastic.

Efemia is easily inserted and removed from the vagina (similar to a tampon or menstrual cup). Unlike disposable pads, the Efemia device can be reused up to 16 hours per day for 3 months - or just on the occasions you expect to leak urine (incontinence).

We recommend new users try the 'Start Set' first.

The Start Set includes all 3 available sizes:

(30mm), (35mm), (40mm).

Soft and flexible, but sufficiently stable to support the urethra during periods of increased abdominal pressure (ie. laughing, sneezing, coughing, running, lifting).

If your experience wearing a tampon or menstrual cup is that it falls out, we do not believe that Efemia Bladder Support will work for you. Please contact your Pelvic Physiotherapist, Urologist, Gynaecologist, GP or our Nurse Specialist team for further advice.

How do I know which size fits me?

To find the right size, it is best to start with a smaller size, then try your way up. Even if the smallest size works for you, it may be a good idea to try the larger size for the sake of comparison. Kind to you and our planet.

Efemia continence support is reusable. 1x Efemia is equivalent to 4x pads in terms of carbon footprint. By replacing incontinence pads with Efemia, one woman saves an average of 29 kg of waste per year! An eco-friendly, cost-effective solution.
