The DU-BRO Micro Steerable Tail Wheel is an easy-to-install, lightweight tail wheel system designed for micro RC airplanes, park flyers, and small electric models. It helps improve ground handling, gives you better steering control while taxiing, and adds a realistic scale look to your aircraft—all without adding much weight.

Each package includes a pre-bent tail wheel strut and a 1/2-inch (12.7 mm) diameter wheel that installs quickly and cleanly. The tail wheel mount can be used in two ways:

Steerable: Connect the included steering arm to your rudder, allowing the plane to turn smoothly on the ground.

Free-castering: Leave the wheel free to swivel on its own for simple, low-maintenance operation.

Installation is straightforward. The assembly mounts directly to the tail of your model using CA (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy, making it suitable for balsa, foam, or composite surfaces. The wheel housing is made from ABS plastic, which is both durable and paintable, so you can match it to your airplane’s color scheme for a clean and professional look.

The steering arm included with the unit is 1 1/16" (26.99 mm) wide, giving you plenty of room to connect control rods or linkages. Despite offering full steering functionality, the entire unit weighs only 1.75 grams, making it ideal for micro aircraft where low weight is important for performance.
