Autechre - Chiastic Slide

Autechre's pivotal 4th album, from 1997, sees them start to gradually shift away from the more linear sound of their first 3 albums, but not yet reach the disjointed and difficult sound that characterizes their work from Confield (2001) on.

Chiastic Slide , the duo's fourth album, continued their move towards more experimental, glitch-ridden sonics in the wake of previous album Tri Repetae , while LP5 saw them go further still into IDM territor.

Chiastic Slide still sounds like the future. In truth, there has never been another record quite like it. We’re all still trying to catch up.
