Since the release of his debut EP in 2020, Junus Orca has had releases on labels such as NZ’s own Echo Train Records; shared by popular techno outlet HATE, and collaborations like the eerie I Did It All with 03 OG Kamandi. The artist has shown extreme versatility among their releases from electrifying harsh noise, through to ambient soundscapes, and dub-tinged techno dance floor movements. Junus Orca demonstrates their intention to continue down this path of sonic diversity through recent crushing-industrial banger Unnamed System with fellow Ōtautahi artist Social Sport, juxtaposing their release with soft synth siren Instant Fantasy for FIS’s eco label Saplings.
