YORISHIRO - II
Transmitting a thread of disparate, but connected narratives, the second offering from YORISHIRO meditates on life in a semi-fictitious village of Shikoku (Iyoki) where agrarian condition is haunted by nature and myth.
The five pieces follow the cycle of rice cultivation, observing its close connection to mythology while guiding the listener deeper into the oscillating fate of the rice field and its harvest.
Loops recorded in New Zealand, Australia and Spain. Tracks recorded and mixed in Madrid and Córdoba by Dan Lucka. Mastered by Ilia Belorukov.
Special thanks to Manzano Linares, Michael G.F. Prior, Miguel A. Garcia and Nagano-san for the unknown frog and insect recordings.
