Discovered in Florence, this substantial Italian credenza was selected not for its finish, but for the exceptional quality of its craftsmanship, architectural proportions and beautifully executed joinery.

Founders of Rome is currently undertaking a complete bespoke restoration, reimagining the piece for contemporary interiors while preserving the integrity of its original construction.

The restoration includes:

• Hand-finished in a rich soft black with a low-sheen furniture finish.
• Bespoke antique brass grille panels.
• Solid antique brass hardware throughout.
• Careful restoration of the original cabinetry.
• Prepared for another generation of everyday use.
