19th Century French Confit Pot Small - Yellow Glazed Rustic Earthenware Vessel
Heavily worked French confit pot with deep, unfiltered surface — this is as raw as they come.
A late 19th century French confit pot with strong, uncompromised wear across the body.
The upper section carries a traditional yellow glaze, now worn and marked through years of use. The lower half is heavily weathered with deep patina, mineral staining, and surface erosion consistent with long-term storage — likely partially buried, as was typical.
The glaze line is irregular and broken, with areas of loss that expose the clay beneath. This is not a decorative piece — it reads exactly as it should: used, aged, and untouched.
Compact proportions with a wide, open mouth and solid base.
No repairs noted. Condition reflects age and use.

Why this one
Most confit pots on the market are cleaned back or selectively aged. This hasn’t been softened or “improved" — the wear is deep, irregular, and completely honest. If you want something that actually reads as old, this is it.
