WHY SCARIFY?
Scarification removes thatch or moss that prevents good dense grass growth. If you do not scarify, debris will build up and lead to other lawn problems.
Scarification encourages grass growth – consider topdressing with our lawn topdressing mix and additional Lawn Fertiliser.
WHEN TO SCARIFY?
The best time to scarify your lawn is during spring and autumn. The grass nееdѕ tо bе growing well prior to scarifying. It is recommended that you scarify whеn thе ѕоіl is moderately wet but with a touch-dry surface.

Notes for Scarifier

Suggested preparation for Scarifier:
- Mow the lawn short 2-3 days prior
- Mark out any irrigation heads.
- Scarifier at least twice in different directions
Post Scarifier
- Collect up the thatch (rake or mow)
- Spread topdressing mix (ours is a blend of Composted Sawdust and Sand)
- Add seed if required
- Water in
