- Can I use Bookcase with my current phone case? Generally, yes. Bookcase adheres magnetically to your phone via its MagSafe ring and can do so with your existing case attached. When you're ready to read, simply place your phone (and attached case) into Bookcase.
- What are the dimensions of Bookcase? Height: 6.5 in. / 16.5 cm. Width: 5 in. / 12.7 cm. Depth: 0.5 in / 1.3 cm. We designed Bookcase to mimic the dimensions of a standard paperback book. When a smartphone is attached, the weight is roughly the same, too!
- Will Bookcase protect my phone from drops? Bookcase is designed as an e-reader, not a phone case. While Bookcase might provide some protection if the phone were dropped while in the cradle, it’s not intended to do so. Dropping Bookcase — with or without a phone attached — can damage its and performance.
MagSafe Kit
- My phone doesn’t have MagSafe. Can I still use Bookcase? Yep. Every Bookcase comes with a MagSafe Compatibility Kit, which includes a magnetic ring that you can attach to your phone or phone case so that it can connect to Bookcase.
- How does the MagSafe Compatibility Kit work? Bookcase relies on the MagSafe ring available in later-generation Apple iPhones to hold the device in place. For Android phones and older iPhones without a pre-installed ring, the MagSafe Compatibility Kit provides a magnetic ring that can be added to the back of many common phone cases and bare phones.
