For sowing: Sow seeds into trays filled with fine seed-raising mix. Firm gently and keep moist until germination occurs. Transplant seedlings when they are approximately 7cm high.
For growing on: Grow in a sunny, well-drained position. Prepare soil with organic matter before planting. Water regularly and feed as required for strong growth. Protect young plants from snails and slugs. Harvest the head while it is still tight and before flowers open. Rotate crops annually to reduce soil-borne diseases. Includes:
