For sowing: Sow seeds directly into a sunny, well-drained position. Cover lightly with fine seed-raising mix, firm gently, and moisten the soil. Thin seedlings after approximately 4 weeks. Sow successive crops every 3–4 weeks for a continuous harvest.

For growing on: Use good quality potting mix when growing in containers. Prepare soil with organic matter before sowing. Water regularly to maintain even moisture and protect young plants from snails and slugs. Includes:
