For sowing: Sow seeds directly into a sunny, well-drained position. Cover lightly, firm gently, and moisten the soil. Thin seedlings after approximately 4 weeks. Sow successive crops every 4–5 weeks for a continuous harvest.
For growing on: Prepare soil thoroughly before sowing, as deep, loose, well-drained soil produces the best root development. Avoid over-fertilising to prevent split roots. Water regularly to maintain even moisture and protect young plants from snails and slugs. Includes:
