Domex Folding Base Mat

A lightweight, practical sleeping mat designed for simple comfort in the outdoors, the Base Mat XPE is ideal for summer trips or as an added insulation layer beneath your main mat year-round.

Made from moulded XPE closed-cell foam, it delivers reliable durability without absorbing moisture, making it a solid choice for rough ground, damp conditions, or quick stops on the hill. With an R-value of 1.5, it provides a basic layer of insulation, helping to reduce heat loss while adding a barrier between you and the terrain.

The raised bump pattern increases comfort while trapping small pockets of warm air, improving insulation without adding bulk. Its accordion-style design features 14 folding sections, allowing for fast setup and compact pack-down. It can easily be strapped to the outside of your pack and, at just 324g, is one of the simplest ways to boost comfort without adding weight.

Versatile by design, it can be used fully extended for sleeping or partially unfolded as a seat or glassing pad when you’re taking a break in the field.
