1 of 25 per size The White Heron (Kōtuku) and Royal Spoonbill are both native birds of New Zealand, making their way from Australia over the last century. They breed side by side in Ōkārito, South Westland, nesting in the branches of Kahikatea trees.
They visit coastal estuaries and wetlands throughout the country, often seen feeding together. The Spoonbill sways from side to side sifting the sand for small crustaceans, while the White Heron collects the escaping fish.
This is a limited edition print, hand signed and numbered, one of 25 per size (A3, A2, A1).
