Glucoamylase Enzyme 15g (PD)
Glucoamylase is a high-performance enzyme designed to maximise fermentable sugars when brewing or fermenting with grains, fruit, vegetables, or molasses. It works by breaking down soluble or liquefied starches into fermentable dextrose, improving alcohol yield and fermentation efficiency.
Glucoamylase can also assist in reducing protein haze, making it a useful addition for producing clearer beers, juices, and ciders. Suitable for a wide range of wash types, it is an essential tool for distillers and brewers working with starch-based fermentations. 50% active ingredient compared to other brands.
Usage
Dissolve the enzyme in water and add to the mash or wash. Hold at 60°C for 1 hour for optimal starch conversion.
Dosage
Varies depending on starch concentration. Suitable to convert or clear a standard 25L mash or wash.
pH Stability
4.0 – 8.0 (optimum 5.0)
Temperature Range
Optimum at 60°C – effective up to 78°C
Safety Notice
