Paper Collage Wax Workshop
The a hands-on jewellery making class held in our Mt Eden studio. In this creative session, you’ll design and shape a pendant or tag using layers of paper and card pressed into wax, creating organic textures and sculptural surfaces. Unlike traditional wax carving, the collage elements are carefully removed to reveal fine detail before your piece is cast in bronze or silver. This workshop is ideal for beginners as well as anyone curious about exploring jewellery techniques in a new, playful way.
Collage has long been celebrated in the art world as a way of layering fragments to form something new. As MoMA describes, it is the “assembling of paper fragments to create texture and layered meaning" MoMA In this workshop, you’ll use that same spirit of experimentation—piecing together textures, shapes, and impressions—to design jewellery that carries both spontaneity and personal meaning.
