Spring Wax Carving Evening Series - October 2026
This immersive evening series gives you the dedicated time and space to master the traditional lost wax process. By spreading the workshop over three targeted sessions, you will experience the full journey of jewellery making—from carving raw wax and placing gemstones to hand-finishing your final solid silver or bronze piece. What you'll make
Whether you come on your own for a creative reset, or come with someone close to share the bench, you'll choose between building a custom sculptural ring, pair of Earrings or a pendant, and learn how to finish your new piece of jewellery once its back from casting.
Session One 1st October: Wax carving design
You'll design and carve your ring, earrings or pendant in wax, learning how to shape, refine and develop the form before it is sent for casting.
Session Two 8th October: Stone placement in wax
You'll learn how to plan and place up to three gemstones (choice of sapphire, ruby or raw diamond) into the wax, ready for the stone to be cast in place.
Session Three 22nd October: Finishing your ring, earrings or pendant
Once your ring, earrings or pendant has returned from the foundry, you'll learn how to remove the sprue, file, sand, refine the surface and check the fit.
