Hand blown glass platter using the Reticello technique. Reticello glass technique was created in Venice in the 16th century. Made in New Zealand.
Reticello means glass with a small network. It is a type of blown glass made with canes, organised in a crisscross pattern to form a fine net, which may contain tiny air traps. This technique is considered advanced and requires skill and patience to master.
