Mohua / Yellowhead - Lilac

A small forest dwelling songbird with a canary yellow head, the Mohua is native to the South Island of Aotearoa and is featured on the New Zealand $100 note. Living in small, isolated populations, this species is currently classified as “At risk – declining".
