PLiXiR's award-winning Elite BDC just got better! With insights garnered from the flagship Statement BDC, PLiXiR has improved the Elite BDC design with increased capacitance and improved layout scheme with their proprietary Star Ground plane design.
The Elite BDC MKII has an even lower noise floor, better dynamics and more body when compared to the original. The reduced variant (1-output 3Amps or 2-output 5Amps) makes choosing the right power supply easier as well.
PLiXiR's ground-up approach begins with a balanced AC power design, along with a two-stage voltage regulation consisting of an open-loop first-stage pre-regulator and a close-loop feedback second stage.
The unique balanced AC power circuit effectively removes ground loop noise and reduces the diode noise.
The first stage pre-regulation filters the bulk of the noise, specifically the high-frequency noise, and the heat from the second stage voltage regulator. The 2 stages regulation design as a "gate" to prevent the downstream noise from crossing back to the AC mains power to pollute other equipment.

All PLiXiR products are handcrafted in Singapore. The ability to control all aspects of the PCB and product assembly allow us to fully optimise the performance and sound for all PLiXiR products. Each product is uniquely made. No cookie cutter process which focuses on production quantity but sacrifices performance is allowed here. PLiXir exists to make good products, not more products.

Casing
Ultra rigid 1 piece aluminum body (min 5mm thick) body construction with 5mm bottom plate and 3mm top cover. This costly design provides the best vibration isolation possible with the least amount of joints. The casing doubles as the heat sink for the power supply, completing the elegant design.
