A Tonearm Designed to Maximise Cartridge Performance

The Groove Runner X’s innovative Double 5-layer polymer-bonded tonearm beam offers unparalleled support for high-performance phono cartridges, perfectly matching their requirements and enhancing their capabilities beyond expectation. Its precision-engineered tonearm bearing, which integrates the main counterweight and front weight, ensures the ideal effective mass for optimal cartridge performance. The dynamic geometry of this remarkable tonearm, combined with an incredibly simple adjustment process, establishes the perfect connection between the cartridge and the record, ensuring exceptional sound clarity and fidelity.

Groove Runner X, is uniquely Vertere and differs from conventional thinking in its use of a flat profile in place of the usual tube. Conventional arms use tubes for stiffness, but these can introduce all kinds of problems with high Q resonances and thus the need for extra damping – complicated and sometimes undesirable. DG X’s bonded double five-layer, non-resonant tonearm beam avoids these problems. In addition, in place of its predecessor’s flexible PCB, Vertere Pulse internal wiring is used to ‘carry’ the signal from the cartridge. Completing the arm are a stainless steel counterweight with azimuth adjustment screw and a fine adjustment tracking weight, to provide a total solution that's as simple and elegant as it is innovative. With these two weights the arm effective mass can be set to match perfectly the cartridge used for optimum performance. Specifications
