Classic design from the Azerbaijan area of bold connected medallions outlined in black and a smaller floral medallion placed in the center. Stylize tree of life are placed at each end of the rug. Warm madder red field is framed by 3 meandering “boteh" borders. The construction is wool on cotton. This is a sturdy vintage runner from near the Caspian Sea area. Sarab rugs are made by families with generations of knowledge passed down. They have a large portfolio of designs.
