The Turkoman tribe are known as the finest of all tribal weavers. The designs are geometric - tekke, yomut, ersari varying from tribe to tribe. The most common design is the typical bokhara. The construction is 100% quality sheep’s wool & natural dyes are used to produce reds, blues. From the end of the 20th century carpet weaving in Turkmenistan is one of the most important sectors of the economy.
