Ande Whall - "Mustang" Japanese Selvedge Jeans
A legendary name in the denim game! Ande Whall was the namesake label of a one-man denim brand that retired in 2016. Everything was produced by him, by hand, right here in New Zealand. He developed a cult following worldwide thanks to online forum Superfuture, and his pieces are highly sought after.
This pair of heavily worn, slim-straight leg jeans has all the hallmarks of Ande's hard work. Single stitch sewn ‘wing’ back pocket design, doughnut buttons, bronze finish rivets, 4 mm thick full grain leather patch, peek-a-boo selvedge detail on coin pockets.
The denim used is milled in Ibara in the Okayama prefecture of Japan. It is a 13.5 oz. 3×1 denim with redline selvedge ID. The yarn is a double ring-spun long fibre Zimbabwe cotton for a soft hand and small slubs.
