Kate Forsyth is a renowned author, storyteller, and fairytale scholar whose work has sold over 1.5 million copies across various formats and languages worldwide. She has won numerous awards, including the American Library Association Award for Best Historical Novel for Bitter Greens and multiple Aurealis Awards, and was awarded the Australian Fairy Tale Society Award in 2018 in recognition of her contribution to Australian fairytale culture. Vasilisa Romanenko is a Connecticut-based illustrator, designer, and fine artist. She creates paintings and drawings inspired by botany, natural history, and textile design, depicting the mystery, beauty, and fragility of nature through botanical elements, intricate patterns, and vivid colour. Vasilisa sees her paintings as windows into a magical world, much like the one she enjoyed getting lost in as a child while reading fairy tales, and works in both traditional and digital mediums.
