Industrial EMI Diagnostic Suite
The a consolidated technical ecosystem designed for the "High-Noise" industrial electrical environment. By bundling the 3 GHz spectral resolution of the HSA2307, the high-frequency current sensing of the CP024, and the logging agility of the CMS Clamp Scope, this kit provides a complete diagnostic path—from identifying power-line harmonics and measuring high-frequency common mode leakage currents, to measuring field effects of high-frequency EMI. "Diagnosing an intermittent VSD trip, the root cause of a corrupted PLC bus, or resolving intermittent 'ghost in the machine' e-stop trips is rarely solved with a single measurement. It requires a tiered approach: verify the leakage current magnitude with the CMS, map the spectral peaks with the HSA, and sniff the radiated hotspots with the EMI probes. This bundle ensures industrial technicians have the correct measurement equipment for every failure vector, all within a single airline carry-on compatible case."
Tiered Diagnostic Workflow
This suite addresses the primary operational friction points for industrial technicians and automation engineers through three distinct layers of analysis:
- Layer 1: Conducted Noise & Leakage (CMS CP024): Use the Owon CMS as your first-response tool to measure common currents. When high-frequency switching noise is suspected, interface the CP024 current probe into the HSA or CMS to observe transients up to 200 kHz that standard clamps simply cannot see.
- Layer 2: Spectral Analysis (HSA2307 Near-Field Kit): Transition to the frequency domain to identify the exact switching frequency of the offender. The included Type III Shielded H-Field probe is the "must-have" for industrial surveying, providing a stable, linear response from 9 kHz to 90 MHz—the critical range for VSD supraharmonics and conducted EMI.
- Layer 3: Radiated Emissions & Hotspots (EMI Survey Kit): Use the vertical and specialized H-field probes to map noise on the PCB level or between cabinet components. Distinguish between E-field (voltage-driven) and H-field (current-driven) sources to determine if the issue requires a shielding upgrade or a filtering intervention. The Documentation Advantage
Metrology without documentation is just a guess. Every component in this suite is optimized for field reports:
- CMS Bluetooth Logging: Stream real-time data to the Owon app and export CSV files.
- HSA Internal Storage: 4x dedicated slots for setups (.BIN), raw data (.CSV), and screen evidence (.BMP) for both Spectrum Analyzer and Scope modes.
- Universal Interface: All probes use standard BNC or SMA connections, ensuring cross-compatibility with existing site assets.
- Included Adaptors: Compatibility is enhanced by a suite of adaptors to allow you to choose whether you want to view common mode current in time-domain on a scope, or frequecy domain the Spectrum Analyser. Similarly, you could choose to view H-fields and E-fields either in time or frequency domain.
⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: Ensure that you observe and operate within device safe limits. Do not connect the spectrum analysis input of the HSA directly to mains voltage for example. If you're unsure, ask. ⚠️

Rugged Carry Case Aeronautical Mobility Carry-on Compliant (52x34x13 cm) Air Travel Mobility
Sensitive diagnostics are useless if they are stuck at the baggage carousel. This entire suite is housed in our Ruggedised Carry Case, sized at 52 x 34 x 13 cm to fit within standard airline carry-on limits 55 x 40 x 23 cm. The high-density pick-and-pluck foam is pre-configured to cradle every instrument, ensuring the metrological integrity of your HSA and probes remains intact after international or regional travel.
Operational Tip: When diagnosing common-mode leakage on motor leads, use the CP024 clamped around all three phases. Any residual signal observed on the HSA2307's spectrum view will immediately quantify the high-frequency leakage current causing your interference—a measurement that standard tools cannot perform.
