“Offering fine value, the rich, very harmonious 2021 vintage ( ) was estate-grown in the northern Wairarapa, matured for a year in French oak barriques (30 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Invitingly fragrant, it is weighty and generous, with concentrated, ripe cherry, plum and distinctly spicy flavours, hints of liquorice and dark chocolate, and supple tannins. Savoury and complex, it’s currently delicious, but ageworthy too.
