Phoenix roebelenii | Pygmy Date Palm (BIG!)

Much loved and very popular, the Pygmy Date Palm is in many ways the perfect miniature palm tree, complete with a slim trunk and a beautiful crown of feather y leaves. Its uses are many and varied: plant it in the warm temperate , tropical, or subtropical garden; use it as the perfect house or conservatory plant; or use it as a potted palm on the terrace during the warm months of summer. Tolerant of both over- and under watering, and will even put up with quite a few degrees of frost when mature.
A relatively small and attractive palm the Pygmy Date Palm only really begins to show itself off once it forms a decent trunk of several feet. With age they develop into truly beautiful dwarf versions of the giant date palm.
