Sarracenia alata var. nigropurpurea is a striking dark variety of the pale pitcher plant, prized for its deep purple to nearly black pitchers with a subtle hairy texture. This rare carnivorous species originates from US Gulf Coast bogs and performs best in full sun conditions. An exceptional addition for collectors seeking dramatic, distinctive specimens with authentic botanical character.

- Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times.
- Dormancy: New leaves stop forming during the colder months and old leaves will slowly die off.

Please note some Sarracenia are very large in size and leaves will have to be bent or cut down to fit in smaller boxes. Leaves grow quickly so you don't need to worry about losing some.

- Bare root option is available to save on shipping, as the pots are 2kg each. Please message me if you wish to go this route, but take note you need special soil types to replant on arrival as they live in moss or peat, not potting soil.
