Mexican Parlour Palm

Chamaedorea radicalis, also known as one of a number of palms commonly referred to as ‘Parlour Palms’ a name probably adapted from their use as hardy adaptable house plants first introduced and made popular in the Victorian era. This species of Chamaedorea can be grown indoors or outdoors in where it can be hardy to at least minus 7 degrees. Slow growing.

With slender bamboo-like stems, this beautiful feather palm reaches 1-2 metres high over time and is perfect for a sheltered position in the garden, where it will tolerate full sun but arguably look better in at least part-shade. If growing inside, try the bathroom!

15cm nursery pot, 250mm, outdoor grown in filtered to full sun position.
