Queen Pineapple (Starter Plant)

This is a 'Queen' Pineapple (Ananas comosus) pup, starter plant. These turn golden and sweet when ripe, and the yellow-fleshed 'Queen' pineapples are considered the best eating variety. They taste so much better than the supermarket ones and yes, you can grow them for yourself right here in NZ. Plant it out in a frost free spot in the garden to grow your own juicy pineapples. Or better still, and a bit quicker - pop it in plastic tunnel house or greenhouse.
