Pinguicula accuminata - Mexican Butterwort

 

Pinguicula accuminata originates from Hidalgo, Mexico. Its unique feature is its oval-shaped leaves that grow on lengthy stalks, setting it apart from most other species. This plant thrives in dimly lit surroundings, specifically on damp embankments, nestled among loamy soil, and surrounded by rocks, moss, ferns, and succulents.

- Skill Level: Easy.
- Light: Min 1 hour direct sun, max all day.
- Water: Fill tray, keep in water at all times.
- Dormancy: Succulent phase with smaller leaves in winter, reduce watering by half allowing tray to dry between watering's for max 1 day.
- Pot Size Small 5.5cm.
- Pot Size Large 10cm.
