The Arenga engleri (also known as Formosa Palm, Dwarf Sugar Palm, and Taiwan Sugar Palm) is a beautiful and extremely attractive clustering palm, small to medium in size. Long fish-tailed shaped pinnate leaves, dark green on top, silvery underneath, twist gracefully. Each trunk is covered with delicate black fibres.

Evergreen, this palm prefers partial shade and will take quite a few degrees of frost. One of the best palms to display the tropical look. it is still a palm which is quite hard to come by and quite sought-after.
