The antipodean expression “a box of birds" dates back to the 1940s and has humorously evolved. It is an informal way of saying you are in good spirits or that everything is going well. This collection allows Jo to explore the fun there is to be had with language, symbolism and entrenched beliefs in a quirky humorous way.

Jo Gallagher is a contemporary artist whose work explores the subtle interplay between memory, place, and identity.
