Athos Drop Earrings - silver

Athos: god of Mount Athos in Thrace - the "Holy Mountain".
Athos earrings feature a solid sterling silver tear-shaped drop, hand-carved with an faceted, boulder-like, texture all over. The drops are affixed to a large hand-sculpted curved hook.

Each drop measures approximately 8mm x 23mm. The total length of each earring - including hook - is 50mm

Sophie is trained in Fine Arts creating nature-inspired pieces and one-off bespoke jewels. Working mainly in sterling silver, gold and precious gems, her aesthetic draws on the delicately flawed beauty of natural forms, and repetitive textures and patterns found in nature.
