The Novice Sweater – Chunky Edition is worked from the top down. You will start by knitting the neck ribbing, then the yoke, then the body of the sweater and finally the sleeves. The sweater is worked in stockinette stitch with edges in rib stitch.

Needles: Circular needles: 6 mm US10 / 40 and 80 cm 16 and 32 inches , 7 mm no US equivalent / 40, 60, 80 and/or 100 cm 16, 24, 32 and/or 40 inches needles

Double-pointed needles: 6 mm US10 and 7 mm no US equivalent needles

Yarn: 300 (350) 400 (450) 450 (450-500) 500 (550) 600 g Alpaca 3 from Isager Yarn (50 g = 125 m) held together with 100 (100) 125 (125) 125 (125-150) 150 (150) 150-175 g Silk Mohair from Isager Yarn (25 g = 212 m). Two strands of yarn are held together throughout the pattern. The given yardage amounts are the total yardage required.
