Calendula seeds
Calendula is often referred to as pot marigold and is a member of the Asteracea family. The plant grows upright and bushy. It grows 30-60 cm high. The flowers are fragrant and attract bees year round at our farm.
Calendula does well in full sun and in well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. It likes good fertility, but will also do well in marginal soil. The plants tend to grow taller and wider in fertile soil.
Package contains seeds and a small amount of the flower head. Simply sprinkle it all onto a seed tray filled with moist seed raising mix.
Cover with seed raising mix and keep moist.
Germinate in 7-14 days. Prick out the best ones and transplant into the garden at 30 cm diagonal spacing.
Keep well watered in the first two weeks after transplanting. Mulch well.
