Sugar Cane Plant Kotare Subtropicals

White perennial sugar cane. Nitrogen fixer. Good companion plant for bananas, helps remove excess soil moisture. Can be cut and chipped as a nitrogen rich mulch/fertiliser. Also is a high metabolizable energy stock food. Makes good fast low shelter for more tender crops. Sugar cane can be grown in warmer regions of NZ. Plant in well-drained soil, water in summer months and protect from frosts.
