It’s used in packaging and shipping to secure metal strapping (steel banding) around heavy boxes, pallets, or bundles.

How it works: After placing a metal seal over overlapping steel straps, you use this tool to crimp (squeeze) the seal tightly.

The notched jaws of the tool press the seal into the straps, locking them in place.
