the Māori word for 'Bat', and fun fact, the 2x species of Bat that exist in Aotearoa are our only native land mammal.

are fantastic Taonga - being not only symmetrical, but also double sided! One understanding is that this dual symmetry mirrors the nature of our native bats themselves.

The stone used for this Taonga is a lovely slice of Golden Pounamu, from here in Aotearoa.
