The , or ‘Little Dodo,’ is one of the most critically endangered birds in the world — and the last of its kind. Found only in Samoa, this mysterious bird is so rare that fewer than 70 are thought to exist in the wild. Its deep, echoing wingbeat is said to sound like distant thunder, and its powerful red bill is a haunting callback to its extinct cousin, the Dodo.
Our steel silhouette honours the in all its uniqueness — and contributes to its survival. 30% of proceeds from this piece go directly to Samoan Conservation Society and BirdLife International’s Preventing Extinctions Programme, helping to fund boots-on-the-ground protection and education.
