Add 500g Chioggia Beetroot

Stripy, sweet, and seriously good lookin’. These heirloom Chioggia beets from Motts Farm in Ohakune are a bit of a show-of: with candy cane pink-and-white rings hiding inside every bulb.

They’ve got a milder, sweeter flavour than regular beetroot, and they’re beautiful raw (think salads and slaws), or roasted to bring out their earthy sweetness.
