Aegean Ceramic Amphora Vase
If you know the shape, you know exactly what this is referencing.
The the most architectural piece in the Aegean Collection — a rounded body, a narrowing neck, two D-shaped handles, and a flared rim that has been making the same statement for a few thousand years. This version just happens to look better on a console table than at the bottom of the sea.
The finish is where it gets interesting. The upper half carries a heavily textured white glaze — rough where it caught, mottled where it thinned, almost limestone-like up close. The lower half is left completely raw, the sandy terracotta unglazed and grounding. That deliberate split between treated and untreated is the detail that makes this piece feel genuinely considered rather than decorative.
It holds greenery beautifully — a single monstera leaf, a bunch of eucalyptus branches, or a loose arrangement of botanicals that spills naturally over the rim. It also needs no help at all sitting empty.
Works beautifully with: Monstera or fiddle leaf branches, eucalyptus, olive stems, dried botanicals, or displayed empty as a sculptural centrepiece. Large enough to anchor a console table or dining table on its own.
Part of the Aegean Collection: Style with the Aegean Ceramic Vase and Aegean Ceramic Jug for a collected grouping with real depth — three shapes, one quiet story.
