Idunn and her Golden Apples Artwork by Karen Chappelow

Idunn is the goddess of Spring and fertility and keeper of the precious golden apples. The gods need to eat these apples for them to remain youthful. They can only be tended and picked by Idunn. I like the Eve ideals and the fact that the apple in Christianity is the forbidden fruit, whereas in Norse Mythology this forbidden fruit enables the god to stay young and fresh.
