Coloured carbon paper to transfer pattern markings to fabric

Use a colour of carbon paper contrasting to your fabric and place face down on the wrong side of fabric (marks are permanent so always test a piece first). Place your pattern on top and use a tracing wheel to transfer the pattern markings to the fabric.

The Clover Double Tracing Wheel works quite well for this making small dashed lines.
