Inspired by the ever-present elemental and spiritual guardians of our awa (rivers). These taonga karanga to us, imploring us to take care of Te Taiao, the natural environment, especially our rivers, waterways and their precious ecosystems. Their kaupapa is exemplified in many of our whakatauki or proverbs throughout Aotearoa.
