Built off the proven SMP platform, the Hiramasa Tune is specially designed for kingfish and other powerful surface feeders. This 8-strand PE line is tuned with direct feedback from the field and optimized with Varivas’ most advanced coatings.

What makes it special?

- STC-W Smooth Tech Coating: A next-gen coating that adds slickness, reduces colour fade, and prevents fluffing—even after heavy use.
- Resin infusion: Gives the braid added tension and shape memory, helping to prevent air knots and rod-guide tangles.
- Improved cast feel: Reduced friction means smoother line release, longer casting distance, and fewer issues in crosswinds or heavy swells.
- Saltwater resistance: Holds its performance in brutal offshore conditions—less stickiness, more control.

Expect a slightly firmer feel straight out of the spool—this line is tuned tight. After a few sessions, it softens slightly without losing the coating benefits.
