The koru (Māori for ‘"loop or coil"‘) is a spiral shape based on the appearance of a new unfurling silver fern frond. It is an integral symbol in Māori art, carving, where it symbolises new life, growth, strength, and peace.

Paua (pronounced “pah-wah”) shells are known for their beauty and Maori have valued them for centuries as taonga (treasure). Māori believe the Paua will bring connectivity and harmony to relationships and it makes a beautiful gift.
