2. Koti, Maroon - Mana Motuhake

We've had many requests for a cape with sleeves, and we finally created a pattern that we love. Handmade by our team here in Kirikiriroa, we adore the Koti and reckon you will too.

At its core, self-determination 'is concerned with the fundamental right of people to shape their own lives'. In a practical sense, Self-determination means that we have the freedom to live well, to determine what that means according to our own values and beliefs.

Mana motuhake: (noun) separate identity, autonomy, self-government, self-determination, independence, sovereignty, authority - mana through self-determination and control over one's own destiny.

Style: Created in one size fits most, this jacket is styled to be boxy and oversized. We created it to make a statement and for wearing in winter with layers underneath.
NOTE: it is not lined.

Models: Manawa has styled this koti with her own shoes and KaistorSt culottes pants.

Fabric details:

Designed and made here in New Zealand, Fabric sourced from a local supplier (but imported from overseas). Fabric is a wool blend (90% wool 10% acrylic) fabric.

Care instructions:

We recommend washing all knitwear/wool by hand in cold water. Do not use any washing detergents that contain bleach.

Once washed, dry garment flat (on top of a towel on a drying rack is best) do not hang or put in direct sunlight or it will fade and/or lose its shape.
